Recently at our Church, the Westport Christian Church here in Indiana, we got to listen to the testimony of a man who is running for the Congress of the United States. His name is Travis Hankins. Now at Your Life Matters we do not endorse candidates. Nor are we asking you to vote for Travis. In fact the testimony given to the Church members was not for who to vote for either, but an expression of Christian values. Throughout America there are many grass root campaigns taking place. In this past election, we saw where America stood up and changed the picture slightly of American Politics by voting in some of the Tea Party members. We find this fascinating. Most of the time we hear our fellow Americans complain that politicians do not care about us, they are in it for themselves and the money, they have no morals or values…and the list goes on and on. So why do we present to you this testimony from Travis Hankins? There are many Travis’ throughout the country and we are hoping you will give these candidates your ear. These are people who truly care about changing America’s politics and government. How many times I hear what can one person do? You are correct, probably not a lot…but it has to start somewhere and with someone. Think about if we actually researched our candidates, got to know them, knew the principles they stand upon and their beliefs? We, the American people could elect a number of these great Americans and eventually really make the changes we have been yearning for and need here in America. Let me start off by saying what you will hear on this show today is real. Our listeners know we rarely, if ever do a fiction story. I have to tell you, from the outside looking in you have to think that this has to be a fictional story? This can’t be real. Basically we do not want it to be real. Good jobs are scarce and the competition for them is fierce. The INS detention camp pays the best wages for a hundred miles. So people take these jobs as guards. The guards follow orders and keep quiet about what they see happen here. Our guest today was one of those guards. What makes him different is he did not keep silent about what was going on. He lost his job, came back and lost it again. Blacklisted and receiving death threats. I will let him tell you all about that. The book we will talk about today is called, “Between The Fences.” He and his wife started a ranch ministry in Southern Texas in 1981, for local Hispanic children. It is amazing to me at least that it has been 10 years since that tragic event took place throughout America. So what have we done to make America safer in the past ten years? Is there anyone looking out for our interests? 12 Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens. (that’s more than 21,900 murders by illegal aliens since 9/11). 13 people per day are killed by illegal immigrants who drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 62% of all “undocumented immigrants” in the United States are working for cash and not paying taxes, predominantly illegal aliens, working without a green card. Concerned yet? We are. But there is some good news. There are people fighting hard to protect us. NO, I am not talking about the great and brave men and women of the US Armed Forces, I am talking about a group of people, who realize that immigration issues were a major problem before 9/11 and continue to be today, 10 years later. Illegal immigrants here in our country costs taxpayers 113 billion dollars with 75% of that absorbed by the states! Think the economy is bad, last year you spent approx $1,117 in taxes to support illegals! There has been legislation to give driver’s licenses to them, include them in census statistics, and of course border issues.  Our guest today is no stranger to our show. In fact if you watch Fox News, he may not appear a stranger there either as he has appeared numerous times on numerous shows. His name is Ed Kowalski.
